Greetings Chargers!
It was a great week in K-1 Physical Education! By the end of next week, all classes will
have listened to the story of Slow Poke Joe and had a Socratic
discussion. This story is packed with
lessons in friendship, perseverance, sacrifice, teasing, setting a goal,
generosity, and gratitude.
This week all students began working on the
locomotor skills of walking, hopping, and jumping. Next week I will introduce galloping, skipping,
and sliding to the students. These
skills provide the foundation for many activities and sports students will
learn this year. Specifically, next week
the locomotor skills will be incorporated into games such as tag.
Please be sure to have your child wear tennis
shoes on P.E. days.
Below is a reminder about Curriculum Night. I hope to see you there!
