Spring Break & Class Outside

Greetings Chargers!


March 22 & 29 K-1 will have P.E. outside during their morning Wednesday class!  Students will be learning to throw a Frisbee.  

When we return to school from the break, Prep will be holding their AzMERIT testing in gym.  This impacts 1A classes on March 30, April 20, & April 27.  On those dates, 1A will have P.E. on the athletic field at their scheduled class time (10:30-11:10am).  

March & April can be quite warm, so please be sure to send your child with a water bottle.

Volleyball & Wednesday Schedule

This week students will have a ball with our new unit- volleyball!  Students will learn the fundamentals of volleyball by using balloons & beach balls.

Dairy Day

Tomorrow is Dairy Day!  Please have your child bring a dairy snack to enjoy during their scheduled snack time.

Last Friday students participated in Athletic Field Day for the glory of sport and the honor of their teams.  Students competed in a variety of relays including a baton and scooter relay, as well as tug of war.   Fun was had by all!  Many thanks to all the teachers, parents, and families that helped!  We could not have done it without you!

Athletic Field Day

Athletic Field Day is Friday, February 17 from 8:30-11:00 for K-2 classes. Each class has been assigned a Greek City State and team color.  Please see your class blog for more information. :)  There will be no school lunch offered this day.  Please send your child to school with a lunch.  

Volunteers for Athletic Field Day

In order to have Athletic Field Day run smoothly, we need your help!  Coach Rubino & I need fingerprint clearanced volunteers setting up and running the events.  Please sign up here to help with the events.    

Athletic Field Day Attire:

Please have your child wear their team color t-shirt that day.  Students may decorate their shirts with their team name and/or symbol of their Greek City State.   Students should wear athletic clothing free of pop culture references.  Sports team and brand logos are acceptable on clothing.  Athletic shoes are mandatory (any color).  Hats and sunglasses may be worn.  Sunscreen must be applied at home.  Please see pg. 52 in the family handbook for more detailed information.

Welcome Back!

Greetings Chargers!

Welcome back!  I hope you had an active, fun break!  Kindergarten and First Grade started their Hockey Unit today, and will continue learning skills like dribbling, passing, and shooting for the next couple weeks.  

Please be sure to send your child to school in athletic shoes on Mondays and Thursdays.  Below you will find the Wednesday P.E. schedule for the month of January.
